The pie charts below show the production of energy and electricity from three natural resources (coal, natural gas, nuclear energy) in Norway between 2000 and 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Ensayo de ejemplo genérico Band 6.5

The two pie charts give information about how much energy and electricity Norway produced from coal, natural gas, and nuclear energy in 2000 and 2010.

Overall, the main difference between the two years is that natural gas production increased and became the leading source, while nuclear energy's share did not change at all. In both years, one resource clearly dominated, and one made up a much smaller part.

In 2000, coal was the main source, making up 45% of all production. This was noticeably higher than the second-largest, natural gas, which accounted for 35%. Nuclear energy was the smallest contributor, providing only 20% of the total in that year.

By 2010, natural gas had become the largest share, rising significantly to half of the total output (50%). Coal's share dropped to 30%, making it now the second-biggest source. Nuclear energy, however, stayed at 20%, showing no change over the ten-year period.
