Although it is true that art can foster important creative skills and offer a different way of thinking, making it a compulsory subject for every student might not be the most effective strategy. There are many avenues through which students can develop a broad set of skills.
In conclusion, while the benefits of art education are undeniable, I maintain that it should remain an optional subject. Students should have the freedom to choose their areas of study, which contributes more positively to their overall development than a mandatory art curriculum.
