Overall, the Residential and Commercial sectors accounted for the largest shares of electricity consumption in both years, whereas the Agricultural and Transport sectors used significantly less. There were only slight changes in the percentages across all sectors over the three-year period.
In 2007, the Commercial sector consumed the most electricity at 30%, which slightly decreased to 29% in 2010. The Residential sector was the second largest consumer, starting at 25% in 2007 and rising to 27% by 2010. Industrial consumption stood at 28% in 2007, making it a major user, but this fell to 26% in 2010.
Regarding the smaller consumers, the Agricultural sector used 12% of electricity in 2007, experiencing a small increase to 13% in 2010. The Transport sector consistently remained the lowest consumer in both years, accounting for 5% of the total electricity used.
