Overall, living in cities was the most common residential choice in all four countries, particularly when compared to rural areas. The proportion of people residing in towns generally fell between these two extremes.
Country D had the highest percentage of its population living in cities, at 75%. This was followed by Country A, where 65% of people were city dwellers. Country B also showed a majority in cities, with 55%, while Country C had the lowest urban population at 40%.
Regarding towns, Country C had the largest share, with 35% of its inhabitants. Country B reported 30% living in towns, which was higher than Country A (20%) and Country D (15%). Rural populations were consistently the smallest category across all nations, ranging from 10% in Country D to 25% in Country C. Countries A and B both had 15% of their populations living in rural settings.
