The two pie charts compare the number of volunteers across five divisions of the Natural Resource Management Service in 2018 and 2023.

Overall, Forestry had the largest share of volunteers at the start, but by 2023, Environmental Education saw the most significant growth, becoming one of the biggest divisions. In contrast, Soil Conservation was always behind the others in terms of numbers.

In 2018, Forestry led with 120 volunteers, which was much higher than any other division. Wildlife was the second largest at 90, while Water Resources and Soil Conservation were similar, with 60 and 80 volunteers respectively. Environmental Education had the smallest group, only 50 people, which was less than half the number in Forestry.

By 2023, the situation changed. Forestry fell to 100 volunteers, while Environmental Education more than doubled to 90, making it equal to Wildlife. Water Resources also increased from 60 to 80. However, Soil Conservation dropped slightly to 70, so it remained smaller than most other divisions. These changes show a shift in where volunteers chose to work over the five years.
