Secondly, the development of new energy sites creates jobs and can stimulate local economies, especially in regions that might otherwise lack significant industrial activity. Furthermore, it pushes the boundaries of technology, leading to innovations in extraction and transportation methods.
However, the disadvantages of this approach are considerable. One major concern is the environmental impact. Drilling and mining operations in remote, often fragile ecosystems can cause irreversible damage to habitats, leading to biodiversity loss.
