How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your essay

Choose Task 1 or Task 2, optionally add the question, and paste the essay you wrote — 100 to 600 words.

  2. 2

The AI examiner reads it like the real one

Your essay is graded against the public IELTS band descriptors, criterion by criterion. Every issue must quote your text verbatim — feedback that cannot point at a sentence is thrown away by our software.

  3. 3

Read your report — and your 7.5

You get the band estimate, four criterion grades with comments, sentence-level fixes, and one of your own paragraphs rewritten at Band 7.5, so you can see exactly what the gap looks like.

What the report grades

IELTS Writing is scored on four equally weighted criteria. Your report grades each one and explains why:

Task Response / Task Achievement

Did you actually answer this question, with a clear position and developed, relevant ideas — or a generic essay that could sit under any prompt?

Coherence & Cohesion

Does the essay progress logically, with clean paragraphing and linking that works — or mechanical connectors gluing loose ideas together?

Lexical Resource

Is the vocabulary precise and natural at your level — or big words wedged into sentences that cannot hold them?

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

Do you control a range of structures, and how often do errors actually block or blur your meaning?

What a report looks like

An excerpt from a real-format report (sample content):

Overall band estimate

6.0

Task Response

6.0

The essay takes a position but the second body paragraph drifts into a general discussion of technology rather than the question about remote work; the conclusion restates rather than resolves.

One of the issues found

peoples life have been more convenient than before

Grammatical Range & Accuracy — a plural error and a tense mismatch in the same clause make the reader stop; errors like this cap GRA at 6.

people's lives have become more convenient than they were before

Your paragraph, rewritten at Band 7.5

Working from home is good for workers because they can save time and money. They do not need to go to the office every day, so they have more time.

Band 7.5

The clearest benefit of remote work is the time it returns to employees: without a daily commute, many recover upwards of an hour a day, which can be redirected to family or rest — precisely the resources office schedules tend to erode.

Verdict

This is a solid 6.0: the ideas are relevant but under-developed, and recurring grammar slips blur otherwise clear points. The highest-leverage fix is developing one example fully in each body paragraph instead of listing three thinly.

Frequently asked questions

Is the correction really free?
Your first correction is free — sign in, claim the free trial, paste your essay, and the full report costs nothing. After that, each correction costs 2 credits from your package, because every report is a real AI examiner pass over your specific text.
Is the band number my official score?
No — and be wary of anyone who promises one. The band is a calibrated estimate checked against the public IELTS Writing band descriptors, not an official score, and your real result depends on what you write on exam day. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by IELTS, the British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English.
How is this different from other AI essay checkers?
One rule: every issue in your report must quote your essay word-for-word, and our software deletes any feedback whose quote cannot be found in your text. No vague advice, no hallucinated praise — if the report says a sentence has a problem, that sentence is really there.
What should I do after the correction?
The report shows your current level; the rewritten paragraph shows the target. The fastest way to close that gap is studying full essays at your target band built from your own experiences — that is the main product here: a personal essay book covering the whole current question bank, calibrated to 6.5, 7.0 or 7.5.
